This is a great indoor activity for pre-schoolers because it engages a child’s spatial abilities. Your child is shown two sets of matching plastic cups and then they have to uncover words from the cups by rubbing the correct words into the corresponding spaces on a grid. The grid has nine squares, and the higher the child’s score, the deeper they can sink into the squares on the grid. In addition, you can add in a timed element to this game, such as having the kids complete the grid within a certain amount of time or using a rub-on goal. This game is especially good for older pre-schoolers, and it is sure to provide lots of fun for you and your kids.

This is a great scavenger hunt for younger kids (ages three to five) because it teaches them how to come up with a list of things to do for each block and then take turns. It is also great because the child must come up with the list in as little time as possible and must then place all of their objects into the appropriate plastic cups. They are given two minutes to locate as many different objects as possible and then they must record their find on the grid. A bonus is that this scavenger hunt can be taken indoors.
